The lower portion of the left side of the sheet shows a transportation map with railroads, highways and subway lines.

The right side shows a detailed vertical street map of all of Manhattan with streets, subways and piers marked.Claudius Ptolemy was a Greek scholar who lived in around 150 AD.Utilising the resources of the great library of Alexandria in Egypt he compiled a description of the world based on the writings of Greek astronomers, mathematicians and geographical writers of earlier centuries.Slight mis-creasing to map on right edge, but overall a very nice example in fine bright colour & excellent condition.Uncommon pictorial map of London with decorative and humorous details, very much in the genre and style of Mac Donald Gill’s Wonderground Map of London [1914].
